I bought the cherry petal version of this at Comic Con, and was really hoping to find you here on DA. (Turns out I had already fav'd this image and not remembered it, haha.) I absolutely love that print. I'm so excited you were there and could afford your art! When I saw how beautiful it was, I was dreading to hear "Oh, prints are $75" or something equally out of my price range.
I had gone to Artist's Alley specifically to find a print of Gambit, Rogue, or both together, and you were the 3rd table we passed. With the exact perfect print I wanted. (My friend later returned to pick up the Runaways print you had).
Maybe next year I'll pick up this one (if you're there). And if you ever do a fall version, I'd be all over that as well. I could change them out with the seasons!
Great job to him as well for the pencils so you had such an amazing base to start with!(sadly I wasn't able to find him to get him to sign the print)
Ohhhh man. Orange is my all-time favorite color, and fall is my favorite season, so I would definitely have to get my hands on one. Orange and red against blue would definitely look awesome, there's be a nice contrast between the complimentary colors.
They're the best characters, and the best couple! So much better than, say, Cyclops and Jean Gray.
I so, so badly want to put together an old-school Rogue outfit for next Comic Con. And prowl around looking for Gambits to harass. I just need to lose like, 30 pounds before I could inflict myself in Spandex upon the general public, haha.
I just got started on comics, but yeah, she's with Gambit--I think he is the only one she can touch with her bare skin. I think I recall reading/hearing that something about his mutation prevents her from sucking him dry. Could be wrong though. Like I said, still a comic newbie.
That's a gorgeous piece of work, both on the drawing and the colouring end. Love the way you guys captured the emotions so well, and call me weird, but I just love the way the snow is settling on his trenchcoat. Damn I wish I had a copy of this.
I'm a sucker for romy pictures. probably for a mix of reasons; i'm a hopeless romantic, i used to be a clepto (and fairly decent since before i started dying my hair blue/green/red i would blend into a crownd well, well i'm back to that thanks to the navy) and i've been told that there is something about my eyes. unfortunatly just brown (inner and larger section) and green(outer and very thin), no red
