Colors: Me! Original version: [link] This is an interesting situation. Emily did this for Jay Company, for one of their exclusive Grimm covers. And Emily and I had talked about me coloring something of hers for a while now and so we asked Jay if we could both color this. Like make an ultimate alternate version, different colorist and all. They were cool with it, and this was born. This is the safe version, as ultimately the printed versions will show her nipples.  Never colored nipples before. It was fun.Next time I color Ems, I'm going to do more interesting lighting. I wanted to do something cool, but I was so nervous cause her original version is soooo beautiful. Coloring someone who's an amazing colorist is ALWAYS a little frightening, and especially someone who's colors I LOOK UP to. Having that weigh on my brain, I decided to go for straight forward lighting and color, just to get used to her stuff. I wanted her to like it, so I guess I played it a little safe? I still did some new effects (new to me) with the line art, and tried out some ideas in the rendering (they didn't pan out) and overall, had some of the most fun I've had in a long time.  I love it if only for the memories of coloring it. |

I especially like the eyeshadow, it's...I don't know, there's something indefinable I enjoy about it.
Anyway, I love how dreamy she looks, and the reds and pale colors coupled with the black, makes her look so evil and elegant. I'm going to have to bug you sometime about how you did the steps >_>
