Something that set Dragons apart from every other movie I've seen recently is that it gave me this giddy feeling I haven't felt since watching Disney movies as a kid.  I totally forgot how much of a rush it is to leave a movie and feel like you're as pumped up as the kids who just watched the same movie.

Like I was just telling a friend, Ratatouille was an AMAZING movie, and I love it with every fiber of my being, but when I think about it, it just makes me think about how amazing the textures in the movie were and how charming it was and I really appreciated it from an adult stand point.  And I think I feel that way about all of the Pixar movies I love, I love it as an adult watching a kid's movie.

I think about Dragons and just think, "I WANT A TOOTHLESS!!!!"

And btw, I am TOTALLY dancing to Jonsi's Sticks and Stone right now. What a great ending credits song!!! O_O!

I know exactly what you mean! When I watched UP, I was completely in love with that movie and treasured it, but it felt so adult and connected with me on a 'i'm Emi' sort of way. However How to Train your Dragon I think made EVERYONE want a toothless!!! ^_^

"How to train your dragon" its not pixar , it is dreamworks. If you take careful notice you will see that most of the pixar movies being released actually suck and dreamworks is the one coming out with the good stuff!!! Kung Fu Panda was also dreamworks! I thought Ratatouille was ok storywise...

We saw it on opening weekend and we all loved it as well. What struck me was the handicap issue and how they kept going depite it and then the last part when they looked at each other knowing that they were meant for each other because Hiccup lost his leg.

IT IS AMAZING. I went to watch it twice in a week lol. Not in 3D though. But the storytelling really pulled me in. I loved the little quirks to the characters and the dragons that they added. I don't know if anyone else felt that way, but other than the ending, I also loved the way Stoick interacted with Hiccup. It's that combination of adorable and realism (of the situations) that make me love this movie so damn much.

I'm sorry I rambled haha ;;;

Loved the movie and couldn't agree more about how it made me feel walking out of there. Best animated feature Dreamworks has produced to date.
